Ok. I tried to post this on the 16th but had PC problems. Hers where I'm at now. I have POR15d most of the inside of the car. Working on getting this thing ready to paint the inside. Cleaned everything up and brushed on the POR15. Still have some cutting out of rust but it shouldnt take much more to get that out and new metal in. Not going back with a headliner just going to paint it. Once the painting is done I'm going to install the rollcage. The rollcage is painted. I scotchbrited the whole thing, wipped it down and then rattle can painted it satin black. looks great. The bar is going to be modified somewhat on the rear legs. Instead of mounting to the rear luggage area the legs are going to be shortened and mounted to the fenderwells. I have seen this done on other cars and have already dry if it to make sure. Just need to cut the legs and heat and contour the base plates. Easy...lol. I'm going to use some roll on bedliner paint for some of the inside of the car...footwell,floorboards and headliner area. Dont have any idea on gages yet...lol. I took out the factory ones and tore out the gage panels. I'm thinkin about going back with just flat steel inserts that I cut myself and not sure if I'm going to paint them or distress the finish and just clear 'em. If I do distress them I'm also going to do the same on the door and quarter panels inserts, which I'm cutting out too. Going to order my wheels and fuel cell this week(5-18). Got the trim hole welds ground down on the outside today also.Still have way too much work to get done but I'm trying everyday to make some progress.Check back soon!! Till next time...

Got into the shop today for just a bit. Put on some 14 inch transporter wheels today trying to figure out my tire and wheel combination. The 14s looked good! Think I'm going with P195/70R14s on the front to fit the custom fenders. Looks like I may have a clearance issue with the fenders and shocks. Need to work on this somemore. Set the fenders on to get an ideas of the look. Its going to be great. Thinking of some way to cover the fender bolts holes on the body without cutting them out and just welding them up. Cut up an old dented fender to work on this idea. Still not sure their. Ok...thats it for today. Think I'll get back tomorrw for somemore work. Keep checkin back!

5-2-09 progress update
Today was a good day. Had some help from a friend with the front end beam extension. I'd like to thank Cort for coming over to help. The pickle fork came in handy...lol. Also like to thank Corey for the use of tools and his garage and the welding help. Lots of progress today. The beam extensions in and front end back on. Tierods all new. Rained alot but finally caught a break so we could roll it outside and pressure wash the beam. Damn crusty with buildup of grease and road grime!! Lots of cutting on the body. Put the hood back on and notched it for the steering box. Made some changes to the design of the car...lol. Some good ideas from Cort and Corey on the new changes. This cars going to be great with all the help and ideas. Now for the hard part...ordering more parts...lol. Going back tomorrow to work on somemore stuff. Some new front fender ideas to try out. Change the turn signal setup and working on the front bumper designs. Found some awesome headlights...gotta have em!! This car is changing as we go. Thas it for now...check out the pics. Till the next update. Come back each week to find out whats new.
